We are certified by Kold King to install their chopped fiberglass roof
system. This is a perfect solution for recovering flat roof systems as well
as commercial metal roofs. Low slope roofs also benefit from this
seamless spray on roofing system. It is incredibly durable as well as
having a minimal weight to it.

This chopped glass and emulsion system is not new, it has been around since the
1960's and it has a long track record of superior re-roof performance. Our fiberglass
roof system uses high grade modified (emulsion) asphalt that is clay based. Our
emulsion asphalt is more pliable, impervious to rot, and longer lasting than
conventional roofing asphalt. The addition of Bentonite Clay © makes our asphalt
(and your roof) much more fire retardant
The Kold King System uses the same process used by manufacturers to build
fiberglass boats, tubs, motor homes, etc. Fiberglass roving (fiberglass rope) is fed
into an air-driven chopping motor that precisely chops the glass into millions of 1/2"
strands. The Chop King chopping gun then blows those glass strands into a fan
pattern using 4 air jets, where it is precisely blended, mid air, with 2 converging fan
patterns of clay asphalt emulsion. Essentially, the Kold King rig is applying a built-up
roof complete with asphalt and felt (glass fiber reinforcement), except that the finish
product is much more versatile and durable that built-up roofing. It is extremely fast,
too, at up to 400 SQRS in a day with 3 men when using a Kold King rig. This is an
EXTREMELY important advantage to our customer in that more of the roofing dollars
stay on the roof.
